Description
This work is a combination of figurative and abstract painting, where recognizable bodies coexist with expressive color fields and spatial displacement. The textured surface (impasto and layer-upon-layer structure) functions as an integral part of the form, not as decoration. The materiality enhances the tension between body, nature, and the present, placing the work within contemporary textured figurative painting.
